PCs may have made some things simpler, but they have also reorganized a lot of things. You look at your people. They seem to be working. And at the same time they might be simply writing their blog or reading news. Will you get your hands on that dirty spyware? Or possibly there may be more options around that deal with employee monitoring?

Managers with principles had a complex time in the past. Only spyware was available for computer monitoring . Spyware is the name for computer applications that make screenshots, copy text the user inputs into their computer, monitor traffic. Yes, you get the power. The problem is that you might lose something else. You can lose respect of your people, because you are effectively breaking their privacy.
